The God Of Convenience
Nothing that God ever asks of us involving serving others is ever convenient. It is in the sacrifice of serving that the glory and presence of Jesus is revealed. I think that is part of what Mother Teresa learned in her sacrificed life. It is an easy thing to say, "if you need me, please call." The call will not come. The service will not be performed and no glory will be revealed. As leaders we are called first and foremost to serve others. We can plant churches, build buildings, develop ministry teams, make disciples, even give our money and never break the seal on the bottle of that very expensive ointment called service. It only comes as an inconvenient sacrifice. Many of the miracles of Jesus came when He did not have time to be bothered or when He was on a journey to help someone else. Let us be careful not to miss the God opportunity on the way to a good opportunity. If you planned it and had time to delegate it, it is probably not the service that will release the fragrance of a miracle.

Most wonderful things to ponder indeed. It is true that many of the services we provide to the Body and to the world do not break the seal of the aroma of Jesus as you so wonderfully put it. Up to now most of society who are lost seem to be most selfish indeed. Desiring the service but not in order to bring themselves under the mighty hand of God. Bringing Himself Glory seems one of His many desires. Oh but the rain is coming. A day very soon where all will know there is a God. Where millions upon millions will receive the miraculous Jesus because they thirst and they(we) will all glorify His Holy Name together. Meanwhile, like you our most beloved, we continue to serve the best we can while we relish in the opportunities that do arise form time to time, to serve when it comes unrehearsed. When it comes to us as a gift from God. A gift to man.Thank you so much for getting our brains working and our hearts fed.
